The challenge

Where the Project Started

Out of state buyers research for months before contacting an agent, and listing portals dominate the searches they make. The team had deep local knowledge but no website ranking for any of it.

The approach

How We Approached It

The site was designed to answer the questions out of state buyers ask during months of research, long before they contact an agent.

Lake community pages and town guides described each place in detail, while MLS search, a home value estimator, an affordability analyzer and a mortgage calculator gave buyers and sellers useful tools.

A blog on lake life and the region answered specific questions, earning top ten rankings that listing portals did not target.

What Changed for the Business

Ranking keywords grew from 20 to 196 in six months, a 9.8x increase, and held near that peak. Lake and town guides earned top ten rankings for the region questions buyers commonly ask, including questions about wildlife in specific lakes and drive times between towns.

The site now works as a research companion for out of state buyers, which is exactly when an agent can earn their trust.
