The short version
Neon Manatee does not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels on this website, and browsing our public pages sets no cookies from us. That is why you do not see a cookie banner here.
What cookies and similar storage are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Session storage is similar, but it only lasts while a browser tab is open. Both can be used to remember settings, keep you signed in or track you across sites. We only use them where something on the page needs them to work.
What this site uses
| Name or storage | Where | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| None | Public pages | Visitors browsing the site get no cookies from us. Visit counts are cookieless. | Not applicable |
| mg_ask (session storage) | Ask Neon Manatee assistant | Remembers your conversation while the tab is open so you can move between pages. | Until you close the tab |
| Square payment form | Checkout pages | Square's secure card form may use its own cookies or storage to process payments and prevent fraud. | Set by Square |
| mg_cmd session cookie | Our team's private system only | Keeps team members signed in. Public visitors never receive it. | Until sign out or the browser closes |
How we count visits without cookies
We count page views on our own server. For daily unique visitors we keep a one-way code made from your IP address, browser type, the date and a secret key. It resets every day, it cannot be reversed into your IP address, and it is never shared.
Third parties
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address so it can send the font files. On checkout pages, Square loads its secure payment form. Neither is used by us for advertising.
Your controls
You can clear or block cookies and site storage in your browser settings at any time. Blocking them will not stop you from reading the site. The assistant will forget your conversation, and card payments may need Square's storage to work.
If we ever add analytics or advertising tools that use cookies, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
