Who we are
Neon Manatee is a web design, SEO and AI services agency based in Florida, and a sister brand of Best Website Builder Group. This policy explains what information we collect on neonmanateedigital.com, why we collect it, who helps us process it and the choices you have.
When this policy says "we", "us" or "Neon Manatee", it means the business that runs this website. When it says "you", it means anyone who visits the site, contacts us or buys from us.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to answer you, deliver what you buy and keep the site running.
- Contact form. Your name, email address, phone number if you give it, your business name and website if you give them, and your message.
- Checkout. Your name, business name, email address, phone number, the options you choose and project details you type in. Card numbers are entered into a secure form provided by Square and go straight to Square. We never see or store your full card number.
- App estimator and AI build checkout. The description of your project and your answers to the estimator questions.
- Ask Neon Manatee assistant. The questions you type and the replies, so the assistant can answer in context. The conversation is kept in your browser tab and ends when you close it.
- Visit counts. The page you viewed, the site that sent you and any campaign tag in the link. We do not set cookies for this and we do not store your IP address. To count unique visitors for a single day we keep a one-way code made from your IP address, browser type, the date and a secret key. It changes every day and cannot be turned back into your IP address.
- Server logs. Like every website, our host records basic technical requests, such as IP address, time and page requested, to keep the site secure and working.
How we use it
- To reply to your questions and send order confirmations and receipts.
- To deliver the website, SEO, AI or app work you paid for, and to keep you updated on it.
- To sort contact messages so real customer questions reach a person quickly and spam does not.
- To understand which pages help visitors so we can improve the site.
- To keep the site, the checkout and our systems secure and to prevent fraud.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
How we use AI
We use Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, in a few places: to answer questions in the Ask Neon Manatee assistant, to give a second opinion when sorting contact form messages into customer questions, vendor pitches and spam, and to help estimate app projects. The text you type in those places is sent to Anthropic to produce a reply. Anthropic acts as our service provider for this and does not use it to train its models under the commercial terms we use.
Every decision that matters, such as a price or a project plan, is made or checked by our team. The app estimator can raise a price for more complex work but never lowers the published starting prices.
Who we share it with
We share information only with companies that help us run the business, and only what each needs:
- Square processes payments.
- DreamHost hosts the website and the database.
- Our email provider delivers order confirmations and our replies to you.
- Anthropic powers the AI features described above.
- Google Fonts serves the fonts on this site, which means your browser asks Google for the font files.
We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or merger of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.
How long we keep it
We keep contact messages and project records for as long as we work together and for a reasonable period after, so we can support your site and answer questions about past work. We keep order and payment records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Daily visitor codes are discarded and only the totals remain.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it or stop using it for a purpose you object to. We will not treat you differently for asking. Some records, like paid invoices, we must keep for legal reasons, and we will tell you when that applies.
If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another place with similar laws, our GDPR page explains your rights in more detail.
Send privacy questions and requests through our contact page and choose the option for a question about our services. Tell us it is a privacy request and we will reply within 30 days, usually much sooner.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Payments go through Square. Access to our customer system is limited to our team, protected by passwords and checked against each person's role. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever learn of a breach that affects your information we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
This website is for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. Significant changes will be called out on this page.
