Seven Ways to Shop
A mega menu that lets shoppers browse by inventory, brand, material, style, roof type, amenities and size.
A family-owned Hartville, Ohio dealer of sheds, barns, cabins, garages and outdoor furniture needed a website that could sell a massive catalog without showing prices. Six years of dealer SEO later, sales have grown from $2.5 million to $50 million, and a display that started as a ring of sheds on a small lot now covers about four football fields of buildings, the largest display in Ohio.
The account began with a catalog most websites would struggle to hold: dozens of shed and barn styles in every size, garages, cabins, tiny homes and thousands of outdoor furniture pieces. The website had to sell all of it without publishing prices, which meant every page had to earn a quote request on trust, detail and photography alone.
The new site launched in February 2020, weeks before the pandemic changed how people shopped. When the full SEO campaign began in August 2021, the site drew roughly 975 organic visits a month and ranked for 983 keywords, with only 25 of them in the top three.
The goal was simple to say and hard to do: become the place shoppers land when they research outdoor buildings and furniture, then turn that research into lot visits and orders.

A mega menu that lets shoppers browse by inventory, brand, material, style, roof type, amenities and size.
Full pages with inventory grids, walkthrough videos, galleries, financing bands and supporting articles.
Stock status, lot and tag numbers, features, option tabs, FAQs, reviews and quote buttons on every product.
The largest blog in the portfolio, answering build, care and dimension questions shoppers actually search.
Descriptive filenames and alt text on real lot photos, plus walkthrough videos on category and product pages.
Every page built around one focus key phrase and linked across categories, products, articles and showrooms.

The strategy started with structure. A catalog this large only works in search when shoppers and search engines can move through it logically, so the site offered seven ways to shop and gave every category a full landing page instead of a bare product grid.
Next came depth on every product. Because prices were not published, each product page had to answer everything else a buyer wanted to know: stock status, lot numbers, features, options, financing and reviews. Walkthrough videos and real lot photos, each with descriptive filenames and alt text, made the inventory feel tangible online.
Finally, content. Over six years the team published 448 articles answering the questions shoppers ask while they plan, from how to vent a shed to standard outdoor chair dimensions. Every article links to the categories and products it relates to, so research traffic flows toward quote requests.

Big catalogs win search when every page has a single job and real detail. Category pages carried the commercial searches, product pages carried the specific ones and hundreds of articles carried the questions shoppers asked months before they were ready to buy.
The same pages that earned Google rankings also earned AI citations, because they answered questions clearly with real numbers and real photos. For Miami dealers of boats, golf carts, outdoor living products or furniture, the playbook is the same: answer everything, organize it well and keep publishing.
The website launched in February 2020 and the full SEO campaign began in August 2021. Organic traffic passed 18,000 visits a month by August 2023, and ranking keywords peaked at 22,047 in November 2024.
