Three-Layer Service Areas
2 county hubs, 19 city hubs and up to 9 appliance pages under each city, 189 pages in all.
A Northeast Ohio appliance repair company competing with national dispatch networks ranked for just seven keywords. A three-layer structure of 189 service area pages and a 174 article resource center grew it to 4,468 ranking keywords and 35,797 organic visits in a single month.
In January 2024 the company ranked for seven keywords. Homeowners searching for refrigerator, washer or oven repair almost never found it, even though it had strong reviews and fast service.
Its competition had far bigger budgets: national dispatch networks and big-box repair services that dominate generic repair searches. Outspending them was not an option.
The plan was to out-organize them instead, with a page for every appliance in every city the company serves and articles answering the questions homeowners ask about their appliances.
Services delivered: 189 service area pages, 174 article resource center, Local SEO, WordPress build.
2 county hubs, 19 city hubs and up to 9 appliance pages under each city, 189 pages in all.
Copy referencing local humidity, hard water and neighborhood details instead of swapped city names.
Brand, care and repair questions answered, each article linking to the right service page.
Phone and hours above the fold, review badge and clear repair buttons on every page.
County to city to service links that route visitors toward booking.
Each page targets one appliance and city combination with unique copy and metas.

The plan was to out-organize bigger competitors rather than outspend them. A three-layer structure of county hubs, city hubs and appliance pages gave Google a clear, specific page for every combination of appliance and place the company serves.
Each page carried genuine local detail, like the effects of humidity and hard water on appliances, rather than swapping city names into the same paragraph. Calls to action, coupons and review badges made every page ready to convert.
The resource center then captured homeowners asking appliance questions, many of them far broader than repair. Every article pointed to the matching service page, turning curiosity traffic into booked repairs.

Articles reached far beyond the local market. One answered whether a popular tumbler is dishwasher safe, a question searched about 1,900 times a month, and ranked second. On specific queries, the site outranked a federal energy website and a major appliance manufacturer, with a domain authority of just 10.

| Is a popular tumbler dishwasher safe | #2 |
| Is a ceiling fan an appliance | #1 |

Local SEO rewards structure and specificity. A page for every service in every area, written with real local detail, gives Google a clear answer for each search a homeowner makes.
